and was established in 2014 to expand its proprietary SAVESSM program into multiple jurisdictions using Qualified Energy Conservation Bonds, as well as other Green Bonds, as the funding mechanism for funding clean energy and environmental sustainability projects. The principals of CleanSource have extensive expertise in originating and structuring transactions, capital formation, and asset aggregation strategies in both generalist industries as well as the traditional and clean energy industries.

Gregory Roti joined CleanSource Capital in 2020 as a Managing Director where he helps to lead execution of the overall strategy. Mr. Roti brings 15 years of experience leading investment banking, investment management, structured lending, and asset aggregation strategies in the real estate, credit, and energy industries. Prior to joining CleanSource, Mr. Roti was Head of US Residential Real Estate Debt at Man Global Private Markets where he led a $2Bn strategy focused upon senior debt real estate investments for an international, institutional investor base. During his time at Man GPM, Mr. Roti redesigned all aspects of the residential real estate debt strategy to turnaround the investment platform and launch 3 new residential debt focused funds with up to $425MM of commitments. Prior to joining Man GPM in 2018, Mr. Roti spent six years at Wells Fargo Securities in the Structure Lending group where he was the lead banker responsible for the start-up and growth of the investor loan financing platform eventually growing exposure to $700mm sourcing $2Bn of investor loans. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Mr. Roti spent six years at two boutique investment banks focused on capital raising efforts for alternative and conventional energy companies. Mr. Roti graduated from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2005.

Greg currently serves as the Managing Director of CleanSource Capital, the specialty finance affiliate of the Abundant Power Group, based in Charlotte, NC. Greg has spent his 35 year career assisting privately-held business owners and entrepreneurs and their advisors in creating, growing, and capitalizing their businesses and monetizing the value in the same through devising and executing strategies in the capital markets. He has worked extensively with both financial parties, such as private equity groups, mezzanine lenders, senior lenders, and bond underwriters, as well as strategic parties, in executing transactions. For the past 15 years he has worked in the clean energy and environmental sustainability sectors, arranging capital formation strategies for financing of projects that generate sustainable energy and savings while reducing dependence on fossil fuels and the associated emissions to help mitigate climate change and conserving environmental resources.

In his current role as the Managing Director of CleanSource Capital, Greg is involved in both the design and administration of clean energy and environmental sustainability financing programs based on the CleanSource SAVES platform, and the advising and structuring of financings for clean energy and environmental sustainability projects and companies. SAVES programs operate in Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland, and collectively have provided over $250 million in funding for over 150 projects and companies involved in energy efficiency, renewable energy, distributed generation, alternative fuels and water conservation. In addition, through his role at CleanSource Capital, Greg has been involved as a founder of and on-going adviser to Nacelle Solutions, which provides field gas and bio gas conditioning services to the natural gas industry, and SustainRNG, which is commercializing a low solids anaerobic digester technology for optimizing the bio gas production from agricultural waste streams.

Prior to joining Abundant Power as a Managing Partner, Greg was the Founder and Managing Director of MCF Advisors in Charlotte, NC, a boutique investment banking firm providing mergers and acquisitions advice and capital formation strategies to privately-held middle market businesses. Previously he was the Managing Director of the Royal Bank of Canada’s internal investment banking unit for its commercial banking operations based in Charlotte, and prior to that a co-founder and Managing Director of Capital Investment Partners, a private investment banking firm focused on small to middle market transactions in Raleigh, NC. Previously, Greg practiced corporate and securities law in Raleigh, NC and Baltimore, MD. He received a JD/MBA from Tulane University, a BA in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia, and most recently completed the first year long certificate course offered by Yale’s School of Forestry and Business Management on “Financing and Deploying Clean Energy”. Greg is a member of the North Carolina and Maryland State Bars and a registered representative with FINRA holding multiple securities licenses for both corporate and municipal transactions. He is a past member of the Board of Directors and ex-President for the Charlotte chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, and a past- member of the Board of Managers for Camp Thunderbird which is affiliated with the Charlotte Greater Metropolitan YMCA. Greg and his wife reside in Gastonia, NC, where they are members of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. In addition to being an avid hiker, boater, and fisherman, Greg actively practices yoga and is working on his 500 hour teacher certification to pass along this life-transforming practice to others.

Bailey joined CleanSource via our parent company Abundant Power Group in 2016 and has since expanded her role to include project management of the SAVES Programs, including servicing and administration of the loans and Qualified Energy Conservation Bonds. Prior to joining the team, she worked in Historic Preservation and Community Planning, and received a degree in such from the College of Charleston.

Mike joined CleanSource Capital in 2023 as a Senior Associate, where he supports financing program design and administration, as well as the firm’s financial advisory services. Previously, he worked as a Corporate Development and M&A Associate at Red Ventures, where he evaluated and executed various M&A opportunities, venture investments, corporate divestitures, joint venture partnerships, and capital allocation decisions, in addition to supporting other corporate strategic initiatives. Prior to that, Mike served as an Investment Banking Analyst and Senior Associate within the PNC Debt Capital Markets group, where he supported the origination, marketing, structuring, and syndication of credit facilities, investment-grade bonds, high-yield bonds, private placements, and tax-exempt bonds. Mike received his BBA from Temple University.

Shannon is passionate about technology in the built environment, mission driven businesses, and innovation and entrepreneurism.  After a career in investment banking and private equity, Shannon founded Abundant Power Group in 2009 to solve help provide a commercial solution to a planetary problem: Global Climate Change. Under Abundant Power Shannon is also the Founder and CEO of PointGuard Technologies, facility management software providing BMS analytics to commercial real estate owners; Abundant Power Group affiliate. He is the Co-Founder and Board Member of SustainRNG, a developer of renewable natural gas projects in the agricultural sector. Abundant’s affiliate, CleanSource Capital, where he is a Managing Director, provides specialty energy efficiency financing for retrofits in the built environment and renewable energy projects.

Shannon is a founding partner to President Obama’s Better Building Initiative, and on the advisory board of the ClearPath Foundation, which is dedicated to clear discussion of the facts around global climate change. Shannon is active in YPO’s Real Estate Roundtable and serves on the advisory Board of the Childress Klein Center for Real Estate at UNCC. He is active in Urban Land Institute, USGBC, CoreNet, and Realcomm among other real estate organizations.

Shannon serves as a Trustee on the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. Shannon received his MBA in 1990 from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. Shannon holds a BA in Philosophy and Economics from Wheaton College.  He was a Rotary Scholar at the Universite De Lille in Lille, France in French language and History.

Pilar joined CleanSource Capital in 2023 as a Senior Associate where she assists with financing program design and administration and financial advisory services. Previously, she worked with the University of Virginia's Licensing and Ventures Group as a Seed Fund Associate where she conducted due diligence on potential investments. Prior to that, Pilar worked as a Global Supply Manager on Tesla's Raw Materials team. Before that, she was an Account Manager with CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) where she worked with corporations seeking to measure and manage their environmental impact. She started her career as an Analyst at NewWorld Capital Group, where she worked on clean economy investments, focusing on research, investment due diligence, and fundraising. Pilar received her MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and a BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University.
